    Local Team Wins Big at World Championships When a couple of kids from Littleton started doing “karate,” they had no idea that one day they would be competing on one of the largest stages in the sport. Brad Hurley and Zach Mihevc have trained at Helix Martial Arts for years, and represent Team Helix in local, national, and international competition.     Helix Champions

    Congratulations to our Team Helix competitors for winning 10 State Champion titles this year at CKA, including the #1 Ranked Overall Martial Artist award in Colorado for the second year in a row! Mr. Hurley won the #1 Overall title, 1st place in FOUR DIVISIONS, and THREE Grand Champion awards. Mason won two State Champion titles, one in traditional forms and one in sparring (in his first year of competition!). Alyssa won both point and continuous sparring, and Andrew and Keith each won their point sparring divisions. Laurelle, Alli, and Danica are all ranked in the top of their divisions and will be winning awards at the banquet in December! Great job, Team Helix! Let's keep training hard ....

    Good Luck to all our students during TESTING WEEK this week! Remember to wear your full uniform and belt, and show up at least ten minutes early so that we can start on time. Graduation will be this Saturday, August 29th from 12-1pm. Beginners should be prepared to demonstrate their white belt basics, Level 1 students should be prepared to demonstrate Chon Ji, Level 2 - Won Hyo, Level 3 - Toi Gye, Black Belts - Gae Baek.
